Need a break as a family? A staycation may just be what you need! And what better than a beautiful waterfront hotel tucked among the Port of Everett? We had the pleasure of visiting Hotel Indigo in Everett, Washington this past weekend. As a family of five it’s hard to find a place that checks all the boxes for everyone, but this place did just that.
Overlooking Port Garden Bay, Hotel Indigo is the perfect addition to the growing area. The hotel itself does a wonderful job at incorporating the marina style with their nautical theme. If you have a kiddo who loves boats, this is the perfect place to stay.
Dinner at Jetty Bar & Grille, located in the hotel, offers delicious seafood and a great kids menu. We have some of the pickiest eaters, which usually leaves us having a time finding a place that offers something for everyone. The kids menu had both practical and fun options, perfect for all kids.
We found the rooms themselves spacious, even for a bigger family like ours. The staff was friendly the moment we arrived and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We ventured to American Legion Memorial Park, just a short drive away. My boys decided this is “the best park ever” and I have to agree. The area has plenty of places for family fun including Imagine Children's Museum, Funko and Regal Everett Cinemas. If you stay during the summer you’ll find plenty of outdoor activities and entertainment. Don’t forget to grab coffee at local family friendly, Cafe Zippy. The hotel also features a business center, a fitness facility and an indoor saline swimming pool.
What we loved: We really enjoyed the closeness of the hotel to our home, plus plenty of fun activities to keep us entertained. If you want to get out to grab a bite there’s Scuttlebutt Brewing Restaurant (kid-friendly) right next door.
Good to know: The pool starts at 4 feet, which is great for older kids but not ideal for younger ones. Be sure to ask if you can bring safety floaties, they are a must. You can find events and activities on the City of Everett website here. You’ll also find a variety of outdoor activities, including a 3.5 mile trail. Don’t forget Jetty Island in the summer!
